We’ve all faced shocks, had unwanted surprises, and experienced plenty ups and downs; but few so publicly and near-fatally as former footballer Fabrice Muamba earlier this year.

Muamba suffered and survived a cardiac arrest during a live televised match, his heart having stopped for more than an hour. This is what he had to say about it on Sky Sports News today. Now that is what I call an inspirational positive mental attitude; advice worth noting, wouldn’t you agree?

“I look forward, not back. You can have an accident looking back – the road is ahead of you. Be positive, try to enjoy life.”
